September 2025 LET Results are in! La Carlota City College – College of Education produced 266 newly licensed professional teachers from the recently held Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) conducted on September 21, 2025. A total of 43 LPTs for the elementary level and 223 LPTs for the secondary level were among the 21,967 elementary teachers out of 43,035 examinees (51.04%) and 57,729 secondary teachers out of 79,493 examinees (72.62%) nationwide who passed this year’s September 2025 LET. Joven G. Galitguit from BSEd Math 4 and his group were recognized as one of the best presenters during the Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines-Tertiary Level (MTAP-TL) Virtual Student Conference with the theme, “Research for Change: Research. Innovate. Transform”, yesterday, December 13. The research entitled “Knowledge in Algebra and Performance in Higher Mathematics” is co-authored by Mely A. Bandiola, Joshua M. Camporaso, Charity Faith B. Gabuan, Quennie Rose G. Gatinao, Gabrielle Alexa Leonidas, Joshua G. Cahayagan, Dr. Sharon L. Apohen, and Dr. Ma. Quincy D. Dones. MTAP-TL gathers all math-related research from tertiary-level students across the country, providing a platform to showcase innovative studies and foster collaboration among future educators and researchers which continues to encourage students to pursue research endeavors that contribute to educational transformation, innovation, and the advancement of mathematics in the Philippines. ALE 2025 Results are in!
La Carlota City College – College of Agriculture proudly recognizes 34 new Agriculturists from the recently held Agriculturists Licensure Examination (ALE) conducted on November 19-21, 2025. The PRC announced that 6,678 out of 9,742 examinees nationwide passed the November 2025 Agriculturists Licensure Examination, with a 68.55% national passing rate. LCCC also celebrates a meaningful achievement this year with 34 passers out of 82 takers, giving the College an improved 41.46% overall rating, higher than last year’s 36.11%, marking a meaningful rise in performance. COLLEGE NEWS | De Jesus, Bañas win 2nd Runner-Up in National RDE Conference and In-House Review 2025
Ramon E. De Jesus Jr. and Teresita B. Bañas secured the 2nd runner-up spot in the Best Paper Competition at the National RDE Conference and In-House Review 2025 held in Baguio City, November 24-28. De Jesus and Bañas, from the College of Agriculture (CoAg), co-authored the study titled “Fallowing: Its Effect on Sugarcane Yield and Economic Feasibility" along with Gina D. Cahilig, Andy C. Alimpulos, Ian Reymart Alfanza, and Joefrey D. Muya. The Research, Development, and Extension (RDE) conferences and in-house reviews are platforms for researchers from the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) to evaluate research progress, share valuable research ideas, assess areas for improvement, and ensure alignment with the institutions' sustainable development goals and priorities.

The College Voice Chief Photojournalist Ferdinand Nacion won Fourth Place in the College Press Conference and Awards (COPRE) 2025 with the theme, “Climate of Change: Writing the Future of Resiliency,” held at the Iloilo Grand Hotel yesterday, November 27. Ferdinand Nacion, a fourth-year Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Filipino, competed in the Photojournalism (English) category, where participants were asked to capture images showing “Everyday acts of resiliency.” His entry consisted of four images entitled “The Quiet Strength of the Wheel Man: Getting Strong by Fixing Things Every Day,” “The Long Road: An Old Man's Strength in Counting the Day's Earnings,” “Day by Day, Slice by Slice: A Man's Strength Found in Selling Fruit,” and “Strong Hands, Simple Work: The Key Man Who Always Finds a Way.” Students and advisers from various colleges across the region participated in the annual competition. COPRE aims to train and recognize young campus journalists in various areas including news writing, feature writing, sports writing, editorial, copyreading, and editorial cartooning. — Congratulations, Nacion! 59th Founding Anniversary of La Carlota City College
Today marks the 59th founding anniversary of La Carlota City College, nearly six decades of excellence and service. Second-year student volunteers from the College of Agriculture (CoAg) participated in the Community Extension Program’s “Project Bangon Mangkasanon” through a clean-up drive at Roberto Salas Benedicto Integrated School (RSBIS), November 22. The project was organized and led by Prof. Limuel C. Solomon Jr., Community Extension Coordinator and “Agricultural Extension and Communication” instructor of the participating students. This effort helped restore RSBIS grounds by removing mud and debris from Typhoon Tino’s aftermath. The initiative allowed students to apply community engagement principles and sustainable resource management..
LCCC extends help to Typhoon Tino IDPs
La Carlota City College faculty, staff, and Alumni Association distributed relief goods to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at various evacuation centers in La Carlota City on November 16. Among the evacuation centers were San Miguel Elementary School 1, Ferlou Elementary School, La Granja Elementary School, and La Granja National High School. The donated items included 98 cooking pots, each containing 1 kg of rice; 32 bottles of 1-liter drinking water; and bread and biscuits to support the evacuees. Present during the distribution were College President Dr. Larnie Sam A. Tabuena and his wife Mrs. Belle Tabuena; Vice President for Administration and Human Resource Dr. Mary Hope Q.
